ALNWICK MASONIC CENTRE

The building is all on ground level with no steps to any of the rooms and has accessible toilet facilities.

Dining Room
The dining room was designed by George Reavell Snr to be in keeping with the original building and to provide cooking and dining facilities. In the 20th century, a modern kitchen extension was built. The room is about 17 by 8 meters with a licensed bar in the corner, which can be locked up so that the room can offer a multitude of uses. The room has a capacity of sixty persons.

Kitchen (5-star hygiene rating)
The kitchen facilities are available for anyone with suitable qualifications to prepare meals. There is a large fridge to hold buffet items ready for serving. Suggestions can be made for suitable caterers in the local area.

Masonic Meeting Room
Our meeting room was once the Sunday school for St. Paul’s church. When it was no longer required to educate youngsters, it was bought by the Masons in the 1800s, and meetings have been held there since. The building was designed by F.R. Wilson, who came to Alnwick as an architect to assist Anthony Salvin in the refurbishment of Alnwick Castle in 1852 for Algernon, the 4th Duke of Northumberland.
